The famous Boulder City family of Dale Ryan and Dyanah Musgrave are again putting on a show for the benefit of all of Boulder City! Last year they won the national Great Christmas Light Flight on ABC television.
They tell us that producers of the show say that this year, the crowds may be even bigger! Now that they’re known, people come just to see their Christmas lights, and gosh don’t we just love that visitors also get to check out our fair city, too.
Tonight’s big light-show reveal will be broadcast live on TV on KSNV Channel 3 (right after the weather report) and they’ll turn on their lights promptly at 5:17pm. So…..here’s the thing folks – it’s going to be REALLY busy over there, so we’re recommending you come early and bring your festive selves and show some great Boulder City spirit!
Santa and Jingle Cat will of course be there too!
We talked to Dale and Dyanah yesterday and they showed off a few new items this year. They wanted to feature some local business talent, so the wooden specialty toys from Ruben’s Wood Craft & Toys are on display. Plus, thanks to Vern and Darlene Burk they have an antique electric pony cart used in the 1960’s in popular kids parks of the era.
Dale and Dyanah also wanted to emphasize a couple of things to keep in mind for the rest of the Holiday Season:
- They will have their lights on daily from 5-9pm
- Please be respectful of their neighbors and property
- They won’t have the lights on if it’s rainy or in high winds – it’s not safe!
Otherwise please come and stroll by this remarkable display they do for our community every year, and give them a big “Thanks!” when you see them.
