Sounds pretty awful, I know. But another season of Boulder City High School sophmores and juniors experienced “Every 15 Minutes” this morning — a re-enactment of the potential horrific consequences of drinking and driving.
Every other year, the Rotary Club of Boulder City (aka Noon Rotary) sponsors this very realistic portrayal of an automobile collision that results in students being air-lifted away from the scene, taken away by ambulance and yes…in a hearse.
I only caught the tail end of the program, so can’t even tell you much more detail – but I did take quite a few photographs and have made them into a slideshow below. A lot of photographers were on hand and as a member of Noon Rotary, I’m sure I’ll be able to get better shots to share and post them another time and on Noon Rotary’s website (soon to undergo renovation by yours truly).
Disclaimer: Although entirely fake and not ridiculously gorey, the photos aren’t going to be for everyone…but that’s sort of the point of the lesson for the kids, right?
