First Ever Boulder Impact Gala to be Held

Emergency Aid of Boulder City will be hosting an award dinner and fundraising event on Saturday, October 25 at the St Andrew Community Center, located at 1399 San Felipe Drive. The event is described thusly:

The Boulder Impact Gala is an award dinner and charity fundraising event honoring community leaders who make a bold impact on Boulder City through their dedication, vision, and generosity. Join us in celebrating those who help shape a brighter future, while raising funds to support our mission. Every dollar raised stays in Boulder City. Every ticket sold makes a difference.

Food insecurity in Southern Nevada, including Boulder City, is up 40%. Hundreds of thousands of people are struggling to put food on their table, including folks right here in our community. Emergency Aid of Boulder has set a fundraising goal of $75,000 to help our neighbors make ends meet in these difficult times.

During the gala, the community will recognize Jack and Sandy Edwards for their lifetime of service, generosity, and leadership in Boulder City and beyond. Jack, a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, and Sandy, a dedicated nurse and educator, built businesses in Southern Nevada while devoting their free time to community service. Together, they have helped make Emergency Aid a community service to be proud of. They have volunteered countless hours to the organization, as well as volunteered with other nonprofits here as well.

There will be a multi-course, seated dinner, live entertainment, cash donation bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks, and silent auction and raffle during the event, which takes place from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.
