Who’s got your scoop?! Me! Me!
Fan Amy Wojciechowski asked what new restaurant was going into the “old Chiarelli’s Deli locale”, so I was inspired to swing by there this morning and do a little snoopin’ (oops, scoopin’)!
The new owner was hard at work (as in, very high up on a ladder), but multi-tasked so he could answer all the questions I could think of to ask. They’re going to be a full bar/restaurant…it’s called “The Dillinger” and you can see by the above photo that they’ve laid it into the bar…it’s AWESOME. Their menu will range from burgers to salads and I’m pretty sure somebody said the words “Tuna Tartare”.
Full bar. 6 beers on draft. Open for lunch and dinner. They seat 49 inside and will seat 16 outside…even planning swamp coolers out there instead of misters.
They’re planning on making it a fun place to hang out — they’ll do beer and wine tasting nights. Maybe do a sushi bar event? Taco Tuesday. Sunday Funday. And they’re planning to have great music.
They’d love to be open in time for the July 4th weekend, but with inspections still to come – they don’t know if they can pull that off — but they’re working like mad dogs in there to open by then or shortly thereafter.
That’s not all I wrote down…so there was definitely more neat stuff they shared…but frankly, those are the only things I can read of my own chicken-scratched notes (sad, eh?)!
A picture is worth 1,000 words – so here is your first look at The Dillinger, coming soon to our very own ‘hood!
