Fisher Space Pen has announced the debut of a new space pen in commemoration of National 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator’s Week. The pen, the Gold Line Space Pen, honors 911 dispatchers. A portion of the sales of the Gold Line Space Pen will benefit The First Responders Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides college scholarships and financial grants to children with first responder parents who have been killed or injured in the line of duty. All of their pens are proudly made in the United States. Like all their other remarkable pens, the Gold Line Space Pen comes with a pressurized refill. This permits it to write upside down, under water, in extreme temperatures and over almost any surface. The pens last approximately three times longer than the average ballpoint pen.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the First Responder men and women on the front lines who help to keep our country safe,” says Matt Fisher, Vice President. “Our First Responders Series represents our efforts to contribute to our nation’s brave first responders who sacrifice so much.”
The new Gold Line Space Pen joins Fisher Pen’s First Responder Series, a collection of Matte Black Cap-O-Matic pens emblazoned with a different color line for each profession:
- White for EMS workers
- Green for Forest Service and Conservation workers
- Orange for Search and Rescue personnel
- Red for firefighters
- Blue for law enforcement officers
Fisher Space Pen donates a portion of sales from its First Responder Series to corresponding charities. They are as follows:
- The Thin Orange Line benefits The National Disaster Search Dog Foundation
- The Thin Green Line supports the work of The National Park Foundation
- The Thin Red Line benefits Hope for Heroes
- The Thin Blue Line supports the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Foundations (NAEMT Foundation)
The Fisher Space Pen brand has become an iconic symbol of American technology and design worldwide. For example, its famous Bullet Space Pen is part of the permanent collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art as an example of classic industrial design. It has also become part of American pop culture and the subject of hundreds of fan videos and several films and TV programs, including an episode of the hit series “Seinfeld”.
Fisher Space Pen is a small, family-run business located in Boulder City with more than sixty-five full time employees. The new Moonwalker Space Pen can be purchased from their showroom, located at 711 Yucca Street or online HERE. The company maintains a retail website where all available pens can be purchased HERE.
