Did you notice how many Boulder City residents and businesses flew their flags today? They’re all over the place on this year’s Flag Day (June 14th, 2014), the day when the Continental Congress first issued the U.S. Flag in 1777. And it’s also the 200th anniversary of our national anthem, the Star-Spangled Banner.
And if you notice the flags flying at half mast (including the one at City Hall), I’m guessing that it’s to honor Metro Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck, the latter whose funeral is today – so consider taking a moment to thank them for their service and to wish well to their families.
