We were super excited to get to talk to Aubrey and Bristol Marunde this week about their current project in Boulder City, Nevada at 627 Avenue G.
The show on HGTV, Flip or Flop Vegas will air its second season premier on Thursday, March 15th, at 9pm PST. (We hear they’ve got a lot of footage of this house in the show opener, so you know we’ll be watching!)
If you’re not familiar with the series, each show runs 30 minutes and follows them as they use their skills in real estate, design, and building and construction to transform run-down homes into modern properties that really – most of us would love to own!
Aubrey says they’d been looking for a home here in Boulder City for over a year, and then finally last summer the home on Avenue G became available, and it hit the mark for their needs.
Originally the home was only about 600 square feet, and they’ve nearly doubled the size, adding onto the back of the house two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
But she emphasizes they’re keeping all the historic charm in the front of the home and wherever they can on the inside as well. Think ‘glam cottage’!
Aubrey says of her and Bristol, “we both grew up in small towns, and we’re wanting both the home and the show when it airs, to be a testament to Boulder City and how great it is.”
Bristol adds, “our show is seen by millions of viewers who only know Las Vegas, but they have no idea of the hidden gem just 30 minutes away in Boulder City. Now, they’ll see that!”
Right now they say that they’re ready to put the dry wall on and have kitchen cabinets going in soon.
They’re slated to finish the job in late March, and the home will go on the market shortly thereafter. (Wouldn’t it be cool to say YOU own it?!?)
We’ll keep you posted on the final airing date of the Boulder City episode when that becomes available!
