Okay – it’s open! Well, not at this very second because it’s the weekend…but it’s open in a general way!
Fox Smokehouse BBQ opened its doors with lunch service last Thursday, March 21st and it sounds as if they had a darn good opening day…because they apparently sold out around 6:00pm.
Humorously, the hours of operation on the menu and door say that they are open “When the meat is ready or about 11:00am” and they close “When the meat is all gone or about 7:00pm”…so I guess they’re not kiddin’!
I went there for lunch on Friday and have to say — it was REALLY good. We tried the rib combo (meat came right off the bone) with their signature Mac & Cheese (has the smallest amount of jalapeno in it for some kick).
We also had the BBQ chicken sandwich with cole slaw on it…fabulous (and giant, btw). Sauce is mildly spicy and finger-lickin’. Definitely someplace we’ll hit again. Tomorrow.
