Champion Physical Therapy is the newest location for Boulder City residents seeking quality physical therapy, close to home, with an experienced and well-trained staff. Dr Taylor Call opened his clinic in November in the Boulder Dam Plaza (formerly Marshall Plaza) which is also home to Chilly Jilly’z and Dam Dog House, at 1658 Boulder City Parkway. The office is open by appointment, from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, making it a convenient option for the community.
Dr Call is invested in ensuring his clients achieve their physical therapy goals by providing them with the knowledge and expertise he acquired while at Brigham Young University and Rocky Mountain University. He is certified to treat a number of stubborn conditions, such as TMJ and headache pain with various interventions such as dry needling and spinal manipulation. Post operative therapy is also available and he works with many of the physicians in Boulder City who refer patients to him for follow up care.
An avid sportsman, Dr Call’s athletic medals are on display in the main office area. He competes regularly in ironman triathlons, recreational cycling, and weight training and knows how important it is to make sure your body is in a position to perform at the highest level. He is also familiar with rehabilitating injuries so that they don’t become chronic or linger, impeding a client’s daily quality of life. He is very committed to giving each of his clients a good experience in his clinic.
To this end, Champion Physical Therapy is authorized to take most medical insurance plans, and cash payments are accepted as well. They also offer an online store for purchasing needed equipment, such as shower benches and stools, grab bars (installation not included), and toilet risers, to name a few.
Therapeutic physical therapy is often recommended by surgeons after major surgical procedures such as joint replacements, back surgery, carpal tunnel diagnosis, TMJ diagnosis, and the like. Dr Call is capable of addressing these patient needs with various equipment and techniques in his clinic. His office is the only office in Boulder City licensed to offer a procedure called dry needling, which is similar to a western medicine approach to acupuncture. You can learn more about this type of procedure on his website HERE. This type of therapy has shown success in dealing with some chronic conditions not resolved by more traditional therapies. Dr Call offers spinal manipulation too, which is similar to a chiropractic adjustment that many people may already be familiar with. Electrical stimulation (TENS/IFC) may be deployed for pain management and he can do athletic taping or recommend needed orthotics as well.
In addition to physical therapy, his office also offers personal training services. These services can range from one-on-one, accountability type training, to couples training and a bootcamp style service. Assisting with the personal training is his wife, Catherine, who many may recall from her popular Boulder City Shaved Ice Company snow cone business!
The Call family has called Boulder City home for a few years now and they are excited to continue to serve the community. Helping clients achieve maximum health through various modalities is their goal. Visit them soon to learn about what types of physical therapy can help you with your rehabilitation or just deal with nagging conditions that haven’t been resolved thru other means.
