Head on over to the Hoover Dam Museum and you can touch an actual core sample from the inner foundation of Hoover Dam!
That’s right – back in 1995, the engineers at Hoover Dam started to pull core samples out of the concrete base at the dam to view the integrity of what was there. They did this all through the 90’s and now do this every six to eight years. The cores actually show how the dam continues to gain strength and keep it steady.
Take a few minutes and wander into this local FREE treasure we have in town and run your fingers over this bad boy. It’s well worth a stop in to see what’s up at the Museum!
