What’s in a name?
In the world of marketing, when you attach a slogan to a brand or place, you give it a snappy mental keepsake – something that gives you a quick association to that brand, and you identify the two almost immediately in your head.
And if a slogan is successful, we can all pretty much name the brand/place for a slogan for years, even after it’s no longer in use:
“Where’s the Beef?”
“The Ultimate Driving Machine”
“The Big Apple”
And of course for our neighbor over the hill, we all know that, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”.
But what is Boulder City’s slogan? We’ve had quite a few over the years. But which one, if any of them, is the right one for Boulder City now and in the future?
That’s a good question…
We’re all aware that time marches on, and with the coming of Interstate-11 that many changes in Boulder City are on the way. Which is what created the Boulder City Think Tank and it’s Master Marketing Committee.
And they want your help!
The Marketing Committee is asking for community input on creating a marketing slogan for Boulder City that would be consistent, have some staying power and that both reflects our values and helps market our community to encourage tourism.
So they are asking the community to participate in the process by taking this quick survey. In other words, YOU get to help choose what Boulder City’s slogan should be!
