The Souther Nevada State Veterans Home has scheduled a charity golf tournament to be hosted by the Nevada Veterans Association League. The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 13th at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
The Nevada Veterans Association League was created to “meet vital social, cultural, recreation, and psychological needs of America’s heroes living at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home”. Funds from the golf tournament will go to directly support the “wide variety of programs that improve the lives of the residents”.The outings program permits residents at the home to attend special group outings like meals or movies. The funds will also purchase supplies for events like Father’s Day, Fourth of July, and Veterans Day. The fund also provides help for residents who can’t afford clothing, haircuts, wheelchair batteries, etc.
