Grand Opening Today: The Painted Daisy – Now Distressed and Disorderly

Kari Livingston The Painted Daisy Boulder City, NV

We just found out about this new business here in town, and rushed over to give a BIG WELCOME to Kari Livingston and her new shop The Painted Daisy, which was the original name but that has changed to Distressed and Disorderly!

Today is their opening day, and they’re celebrating this evening by having a food truck from 5-7pm this evening from the Dazzling Bistro!

The store is located at 1400 Wyoming #3, which is on the corner of Wyoming and Avenue B, (just around the corner from Ooh La La, on the Wyoming side).

Kari is thrilled to be here, and her shop features home decor and accents, painted antiques, hats and accessories, and upstairs they will have painting and craft classes too! She says they also have the capacity to do custom orders on some of the furniture items. We have to tell you that we were impressed with the selection, and know we’ll find more than a few gifts there ourselves.

Kari says nearly a decade ago back in Oregon she started redoing vintage furniture, and gained a following for her work in her small town. She says she relocated to our area about 4 years ago, and currently is still living in North Las Vegas. However, she’s a small town girl at heart, and learned about Boulder City and knew this was where she wanted to be located. So, she found this space and has remodeled the interior over the past month, and is now open!

She says she will try to focus as much as possible on local vendors for her wares and will always choose to do business with another small entrepreneur rather than a larger corporation.

Currently her hours of operation will be 10-6 Wednes thru Saturday, Sunday’s from 11-4 and closed Monday-Tuesday. (Note: those hours may evolve over time). Stop by to say “Hello!” and welcome this new business to the neighborhood! (PS- there’s a lot going on down on Wyoming these days…and we just might have another announcement for you next week!)
