Haggen Moves In June 7-9

Heidi Knapp Rinella of the Las Vegas Review-Journal has some scoop for us on the transition of the Boulder City Vons store into a Haggen supermarket (which you can read by clicking here)!  Our current Vons store will close for conversion on June 7th and re-open as a Haggen on June 9th.

The Haggen website confirms that it takes 40 hours to convert each store … click here for an interesting blog they posted in April after their first conversion (slightly rocky, from the sounds of it).  Heidi’s article says that stores are about 25% “Haggen-ized” when they re-open, so now we’ll know what to expect!

I also found this great photo on Haggen’s Facebook page from one of their recently converted stores (in Southern California) – so envisioning the produce area of our current Vons, I’ll bet it will look a lot like this!
