We first brought you the story of Becky and James Hughes of Hangar 502 Rescue Bar and Grill HERE. That was just back in December. But they have worked super hard and now they are ready to soar with their new aviation concept deli / sports bar / restaurant. We took a tour of the newest spot to be in Boulder City and wow, this place is incredible. Sparkling deli cases, shiny floors, matte tables and seating, swing out bar windows – the aesthetics are fantastic!
This weekend, beginning Friday at noon, the staff will be ready to introduce you to top flight hospitality, food, and drinks. For the first three weekends in May, they plan to build out and build up to the grand opening on May 23. Here’s what to expect:
Friday May 3 to Sunday May 5: They will be open from 12:00PM until 4:00PM each day serving a choice of three sandwiches, a bag of chips, and a kosher pickle spear for $15. The sandwiches offered this weekend will be the muffaletta we mentioned in December, a turkey club, and a house specialty: a vegetarian option called the Jolly Green. Single and double charcuterie cups as well. The bar will be fully stocked and open with several special drink options corresponding with sporting events this weekend. Mint Juleps and Lily’s for the Kentucky Derby Saturday and Cuba Libres and Micheladas on Sunday for Miami’s F1 race and also Cinco de Mayo. They will also have several mocktail choices for those who would rather try a nonalcoholic option. Golden Knights games will also be onscreen so we can cheer them on to a series victory. Outdoor, indoor, and deck seating will be available. The deck is one of our favorite spots to take in the views of Nevada Way to people watch and just enjoy a shaded, cooler spot for sipping on those social sparklers!
Friday May 10 to Sunday May 12: The deli and bar hours will again be 12:00PM until 4:00PM each day. They will have the sandwiches noted above, and about 30% of the menu available to guests. A full bar will again be offered with specialty cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks and other soft drinks offered.
Friday May 17 to Sunday May 19: The deli and bar will be open from 12:00PM until 4:00PM each day. This weekend about 60% of their regular menu will be offered for order. Enjoy the bar and restaurant area up top, or chill inside at the deli, or outside at one of the cool outdoor seating options.
The Grand Opening will be Thursday, May 23 beginning at 10:00AM. Normal restaurant and bar hours will be 10:00AM to 8:00PM, Sunday thru Thursday and 10:00AM to 9:00PM, Friday and Saturday. Full menu and full bar available.
