Happy Birthday, Boulder City!

On THIS day in 1931, surveyors drove the first stake into the ground of the area that would become Boulder City!

Originally built as a federal reservation and remaining so until 1960, Boulder City housed the workers and their families for the construction of Hoover Dam (formerly known as Boulder Dam) and check this out ... at one time, we were the largest city in Nevada with a population of 7,000 people!  Happy B-Day, BC!!  Now LET'S ALL EAT CAKE!
