On THIS day in 1931, surveyors drove the first stake into the ground of the area that would become Boulder City!
Originally built as a federal reservation and remaining so until 1960, Boulder City housed the workers and their families for the construction of Hoover Dam (formerly known as Boulder Dam) and check this out … at one time, we were the largest city in Nevada with a population of 7,000 people!
