Historic Preservation Video #4

In October 2020, we began the first of four videos by the City’s Historic Preservation Committee, highlighting various examples of special historic preservation projects throughout the city. Today’s video concludes the 2020 series. Links to the previous three videos are below.

In today’s video, Blair Davenport of the City’s Historic Preservation Committee is given a tour of the Bureau of Reclamation’s Administration Building by Mike Bernardo, River Operations Manager for the Lower Colorado River Basin of the Bureau of Reclamation, who oversaw the recent remodel and rehabilitation project on Colorado Street.

The pair discuss the reclaimed and restored elements of the building, incorporating historic preservation into new construction, the challenges of rehabilitating older buildings and more. Click here to watch and find out what’s hidden inside this building!
