There is never a trip down Nevada Way into historic downtown that I don’t admire the beautiful mosaic in Frank Crowe Park.
I finally stopped to find out if there was a plaque tucked around it somewhere that would let me share how it came to be there and who we should credit for it. Well, I found no such plaque, but I did find some names in the bottom right corner and recognized one of them, so I called my good friend Lettie Z. to find out more info. Lettie referred me to Patty Sullivan at Parks and Rec, who sent me the most AWESOME photos of the entire project, from beginning to end. And it’s AWESOME.

Patty also sent me a 2-page PDF article that outlines how the wall mural came to be, what it took to get it done and who helped make it happen.
