But the handcrafted treats at Kona Snow Shack have amazing, fluffy, delicate ice. It really is a delight that has to be experienced to be understood.
Kona Snow Shack is located near the Western Mexican Store, at 443 Nevada Way. Conveniently, the shop is open seven days a week from 12:30PM to 7:00PM. There are two shaded tables located at the shack so you can enjoy your icy treat in comfort. The prices are reasonable too: $3 for a small, $4 for a medium, and only $6 for a large flower cup of goodness.
They have dozens of flavors which can be combined to make a personal creation all your own. There are several sugar free options as well for those who need to limit intake. Ask for the watermelon-lemon sugar free combo…it’s a specialty of Kona’s that tastes like pink lemonade! They even have flavors like red velvet cake and lychee for more exotic concoctions. There really is something for everyone to love here!
Kona Snow Shack is owned by Hilda Rodriguez, a realtor. She bought the business with her teenage daughter and her friends in mind, figuring it would be a great first job for them during the summer and after school. She also employs Frankie Bowie who is friendly and delightful to talk to. Hilda hopes to expand the menu as we move into cooler months to offer other treats appropriate to the seasons.
