Check this out … we’re not going to have a bunch of ugly overpasses and what-not when the “Boulder City Bypass” portion of Interstate 11 is finally done and I have the proposed design illustrations to show you what everything will look like! Below is the general theory, as paraphrased from the 40-page design proposal (which I believe has been created by Las Vegas Paving).
Research about the construction of Hoover Dam was done to gain perspectives on the entire project and four “P”s were identified:
- People: Recognize that “working people” were the key asset in the construction of Hoover Dam.
- Place: Recognize the location – the beauty of the Mojave Desert, flora and fauna that harbor the dam.
- Process: Recognize the means, methods, materials & equipment used by workers to construct the dam.
- Products: Recognize the resulting product of the dam, its purpose & how the southwest benefits from it.
These are stitched together to tell the story of the construction of Hoover Dam in the design elements of the Interstate 11, the proposal for which you can check out entirely by CLICKING HERE, but below are a couple of key photos for you … just in case you’re short on time!
