The Inaugural First Responder Relay will take place in Henderson and Boulder City on Saturday, October 16, 2021, along the River Mountain Loop Trail. This race was announced by the United States Police and Fire Championships. The relay is presented by Bio-One, Inc.
The relay is open to law enforcement agencies, fire department agencies, fire/paramedics, and retired personnel. It is a nine person, forty-eight mile running relay and the stages range from 4.0 miles to 7.7 miles. The race begins at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa and will continue along the River Mountain Loop Trail.
This is one of many sporting events hosted by California Police Athletic Federation throughout the United States since 1967. The First Responder Relay will continue to provide local and international first responders with the opportunity to compete in athletic events, regardless of their competition level.
“We know the Relay will provide the opportunity for our everyday heroes to compete in a challenging event while also enjoying the camaraderie of their fellow first responders from agencies throughout the country,” said Larry “LC” Collins, President, Board of Directors, California Police Athletic Federation.
We are excited that Boulder City was chosen as the site of this event and wish all the competitors the best!
