Seems that on Monday, August 8th – there’s gonna be a 285 ton monster rolling through town…one that is 225 feet long and 20 feet wide…yep – wider than a single lane on the highway – so you won’t be passing and DON’T want to be behind this bad boy!
It’s a giant electrode doo-dad-thing-mah-jig (used for refining copper, apparently) and is making its way from the Salt Lake City area to a mine about 80 miles east of Phoenix.
Thankfully, the plan is for it (and its NHP escort) to cross the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge around midnight (late Monday on its way to Tuesday) — so that’ll be a huge blessing for traffic!
