June 2022 Events Booked at the Boulder City Library

School may be out, by the fun is ongoing at Boulder City Library. A locally loved and cherished institution, they have tons of cool things happening this summer. To that end, here are some highlights for June 2022!

Ages 0-5 Programs located in Board Room
Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime, stories, songs, and a coloring sheet: Ages 1-3 with caregiver
Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop-in Storytime, stories, songs, and crafts: Ages 0-5 with caregiver

Ages 6-11 Programs located in Community Room
Tuesdays at 2:00PM: Spy School, learn how to become a spy, sign up HERE, Ages 6+
Wednesdays at 11:00AM: Lego Book Club, listen to stories while building with Legos
Thursday June 2, June 16, and June 30 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Ages 6+. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!

Thursday June 9 and June 23 at 3:30PM: Coding Club
Saturday, June 11 at 1:00pm Art Club: Ages 6+. Learn about art concepts and make your own art to take home.
Friday, June 24 at 2:00PM: Readers’ Theatre is a 5-week program and a performance on July 29 at 5:30PM.

Ages 12-18 Programs in Library Board Room
Tuesday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 21 at 3:30PM: Roleplayers’ Guild, Ages 12-18. Go on a quest, fight dragons, and loot the villages
Friday, June 10 at 8:00PM: Wizard Rock Concert: Tonks and the Aurors
Monday, June 13 and June 27 at 3:30PM: Teen Crafternoon – Studio Ghibli Movie and Craft Buffet!
Friday, June 17 at 5:30PM Teen Game Night, after hours at the library!

Ages 18+ Programs in Community Room, except where noted
Tuesdays at 2:30PM: Crochet for A Cause, Board Room.
Wednesdays at 3:00PM: History Lives in US: Exploring Poetry of Place
Wednesday, June 1 at 6:00PM: Watch Party The Geology of Great Basin National Park
Friday, June 3 at 5:30PM: After Hours Movie: Cyrano (PG-13). Bring snacks, a blanket, pillow or chair
Wednesday, June 8 at 10:00AM: Becca’s Book Club
Saturday, June 18 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: Learn from others as you research you family history using library resources
Saturday, June 18 at 2:00PM: How Not to Burn Toast Cooking Class: Budget Bites
Saturday, June 25 at 11:00AM: Authors Mike Branch and Kendra Atleewood in Conversation. Books available for purchase.

    Saturday, June 4 at 9:30AM: Stories and stretches, stretch out and listen to fun stories for the whole family
    Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00PM: Family Storytime, listen to stories, do a craft, spend time with your family
    Friday, June 17 at 11:00AM: Pentagogical Brass Quintet Concert in the Library Amphitheater
    Monday, June 20 at 10:00AM: Family Movie: Turning Red
    Tuesday, June 21 at 7:00PM: Famiy Dance Party, grab your family and dance the night away
    Monday, June 27 at 11:00AM: Carnival of the Animals Marionette Show with Fratello Marionettes

Special Community Events:

  • Wednesday, June 15 at 6:00PM: Library Board of Trustees Meeting in Board Room
  • Summer Reading Program Begins (thru July 29, 2022) – Sign up and keep track on Beanstack!

The Library will be closed Sunday. June 19 for Juneteenth. The Library is located at 701 Adams Boulevard. it is open Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Early Browsing hours are Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 10:00AM.
