June 2024 Events at the Boulder City Library

There’s a lot to take in at the Boulder City Library in June! Classes, contests, books, movies, and more await you for summertime fun. Make plans to take advantage of all your library has to offer.

SPECIAL NOTES: The library, located at 701 Adams Boulevard in ABC Park is open Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

The online library catalog is available 24/7/365 HERE. You can also access the digital library via Libby HERE. For other digital services including Axis 360, CreativeBug, and TumbleBooks, click HERE. For Hoopla, Kanopy, and Kanopy Kids, click HERE. To register online for a class or event, click HERE. You will need your library card number and PIN. Some of these resources are exclusive to Boulder City Library and some are offered in partnership with Las Vegas Clark County Library District. Some of these resources may also require patrons to download an additional app for access.

Ages 0-5 Programs

• Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Little Books, Little Cooks: Ages 3-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Learn cooking basics. Sign-ups required.
• Wednesdays at 10:30AM: Duplo Building Club: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver. Board Room. Join us for relaxing time spent building with Duplos.
• Thursdays at 9:30AM: Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver, Community Room. Join us for stories and songs.
• Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.

Ages 6-11 Programs

• Wednesdays at 12:00PM: LEGO Book Club: Board Room. Listen to stories while building with Legos.
• Wednesdays at 3:30PM: Youth Yoga: Community Room. Stretch out and relax with friends.
• Saturday, June 8 at 1:00PM: Handsewing for Kids: Community Room. Learn the basics of handsewing. Space is limited. Sign-ups required.
• Monday, June 10 at 3:00PM: Let’s Plant Together: Community Room. Join us for a planting adventure!
• Tuesdays, June 11 and June 25 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Community Room. We provide the Legos, you
  provide the imagination!
• Thursday, June 13 at 11:00AM and 6:00PM: Father’s Day Craft Hour: Community Room. Make a fun gift for your father.
• Saturday, June 15 at 1:00PM: Art Club: Community Room. Learn about art concepts and start your own art to take home.
• Monday, June 17 at 3:30PM: Solar Days with Desert Research Institute: Community Room. Learn all about the sun and its energy!
• Thursday, June 27 at 1:00PM: Building Club: Community Room. Relax and Build Legos with your friends.

Ages 12-18 Programs

• Thursday, June 6 at 1:00PM: Youth Cooking Class, Community Room, Ages 10-16. Learn to make an awesome Boba. Sign-ups required.
• Thursday, June 20 at 1:00PM: Teen Crafternoon, Community Room. Hang out with your friends while you craft!

Family Programs

• Monday, June 10 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout: Community Room. Learn from other Homeschooling families in the community.

• Tuesday, June 25 at 5:00PM: Family Literacy Storytime: All Ages, Board Room. Listen to stories, do an activity, and spend time with your family.

Makerspace Programs

• Mondays, June 3 and June 17 at 3:30PM: Button Maker & Die Cut Certification Class: Makerspace. Sign-ups required.
• Tuesdays, June 4 and 18 at 3:30PM: Laser Engraver Certification Class: Makerspace. Sign-ups required.
• Wednesdays 2:00PM to 4:00PM: Open Maker Time: Makerspace. Must be certified on the machines you intend to use.

Ages 18+ Programs

• Saturdays, June 1 and Jun 15 at 11:00AM: Hand Sewing for Adults: Community Room. Learn the basics of hand sewing in this three-week class (class concludes in July). Sign-ups required.
• Sunday, June 2 at 2:00PM: Paint Your Own Bookmark: Community Room. Pay your $5 class fee at the Info Desk, and have fun painting! Sign-ups required.
