Join rangers at Las Vegas Boat Harbor Marina from noon to 2 p.m. June 9 for a world-wide record attempt for the most life jackets worn. Rangers will be on the marina with a variety of life jackets and family-friendly activities. Learn safe boating tips. For more information, call 702-293-8970.

World Fishing Day, June 23

Join the Nevada Department of Wildlife at the Hemenway Fishing Pier near Boulder Beach from 6 to 8 a.m. June 23 and try to catch some fish. NDOW will provide bait, fishing gear check-out and fishing tips. Water shoes, hats and sunglasses are recommended.
