Justin Connell is something of a Renaissance Man. He works hard at detailing cars as his regular job. He’s dad to two adorable English bulldogs, Meadow and Deebo. He is an aspiring videographer with his own YouTube channel where he posts funny videos about his daily life. He can tell you all about the latest Nike shoe drop. He’s a dutiful son who credits his mom, Lynn Connell, for much of his success. And he’s just an all-around great person with a positive energy that is reflected in whatever he’s doing. Justin is a long time resident of Boulder City, having grown up here and graduating from Boulder City High School.
What he used to do — production and live events — were a casualty of the pandemic. With the free time he had as he pondered his next move, he began helping his elderly neighbors with odd jobs around the house. One neighbor asked if he would be willing to detail her car and he agreed. Soon others were asking for the same service. So he reinvented himself with a car detailing business.
But he didn’t stop there. In an effort to promote his detailing business, he created a YouTube channel where he (and sometimes co-starring Lynn, Meadow and Deebo) creates videos about a number of subjects, including detailing of course. But you can also learn about the sneakers he’s wearing, or how to remove badging from your vehicle as his LATEST VIDEO shows.
Justin’s talent for videography is something that’s just come to him recently, since he started reevaluating his life and plans for the future. He’s a self-taught videographer who creates videos for his YouTube page and also for some of his friends who own real estate businesses or entertainment venues. As his father once told him, “Funny always wins,” and you can see that influence in many of his videos. “Video is a very powerful tool for the art of storytelling,” he tells us. “I’ve fallen in love with it.” You can hear the excitement in his voice as he talks about some of his projects.
One thing he’d like to do is work with families to create videos of their children’s special moments, like birthdays. This would be a great way to capture and preserve a moment in time, a video time capsule, if you will. You can reach out to him via Instagram HERE if you’re interested in hearing more about this service. Or maybe you have an idea that you can run by Justin and he can make it happen!
We’re looking forward to more videos from Justin and hearing more about his ongoing business ventures. You can find Justin on YouTube at The Detail Fetish HERE and Instagram HERE.
