We just love Boulder City folks who so generously donate to our local non-profits, and we have another amazing story of that to share with you today!
Mr. Chuck Ulrich of Boulder City donated a handicapped vehicle to Lend A Hand in late December 2019, and they now have this vehicle fully insured, fixed up and ready to roll. Prior to this donation, the drivers for Lend A Hand had to outsource their transportation services to those who were wheelchair bound, and that was not always ideal. Certain parts of Boulder City were left unserved because of these limitations.
But all of that will change now!
The back of the car completely flips open, with the lower portion becoming a ramp that a wheelchair can roll into, and lock and the upper part flips all the way open to accommodate this process as well.
The new car will be driven by Lend A Hand volunteers or employees who will receive special training in that process and the car is specially insured as well. If you’re not familiar with Lend A Hand of Boulder City, please check out their web site HERE to learn more.
THANK YOU so much to this generous person locally who has made this happen! The Lend A Hand staff and key volunteers are pictured above, and they are so proud to be able to offer this service!
