Library Events for February 2025

The Boulder City Library has announced its events for February 2024 and there are some fantastic opportunities that go beyond books for residents to take advantage of. Take a look at the events below and add them to your calendar!

Please note that the library will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 in recognition of President’s Day. All other days, the library operating hours are as follows: Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

The Valentine Pop Up Book Sale will be Saturday, February 3 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. There will be new and used books, DVDs, CDs and hidden treasures! This sale features locals craftspeople Destiny Maynard and Jonathan Milano with custom stickers, beads and bracelets for your valentine! The sale takes place in the library rotunda.

Special note: The library’s Winter Reading Program “Where Will Reading Take You?” ends on February 21. There’s still time to join by registering at Beanstack, HERE.

Friends of the Boulder City Library Pop-Up Sale:
Saturday, February 1 at 10:00AM-3:00PM in the Library Lobby. Featuring Women themed literature/romance, “Red any good books lately”- books with red covers, and Author of the Month books. Cash or Cards accepted

Teen Financial Literacy Workshop- How Money Works: Teen financial education workshop presented by Wealth Wave. Explore financial strategies, concepts, and solutions that encourage financial literacy. Ages 14-18. Combined Community and Board Room.

Author Presentation- Deborah A. Fox: Join graphic novelist Deborah A. Fox for a colorful presentation about true-life hero, William Lewis Manly & her award-winning graphic novel, “The Man Who Beat Death Valley” All Ages. Combined Community & Board Room.

Saturday, February 22 at 1:00PM
Winter Reading Challenge Wrap-up Painting Party: Celebrate the end of our Winter Reading Challenge with a painting party hosted by Ruben’s Wood Craft & Toys. All ages. Combined Community & Board Room.

    Youth Coding Club: Introduces coding through hands-on activities, STEAM Kits, and online computer coding programs.

    Youth Yoga: Community Room. Stretch out and relax with friends.

  • Monday, February 10 at 5:30PM
  • Paint Your Own Wine glass: Get in the Valentine’s Day spirit by creating your own painted wine glass. All supplies provided. Class to run 5:30pm-7:00pm. Sign-ups Required. Ages 21+. Community Room

Also, Tech Teachers are available for library patrons. To sign-up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or call the library at 702-293-1281. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays at 1:00PM and 2:00PM, Wednesdays 12:00PM and 1:00PM, and Thursdays 12:00PM and 1:00PM.
