Library Events May 2026

May is a great time to visit the Boulder City Library! Coming up this month is the Summer Reading Program (begins Saturday, May 30th), more classes and more fun! Make sure to check out the calendar below and make some notes to get your summer off to a great start!

The Boulder City Library, located at 701 Adams Boulevard in ABC Park, will be open the following days and hour for your convenience:

• Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM


• Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM


• Beginning May 27, early browsing on Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 10:00AM

The library will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

• Storytimes during the month of May will be paused due to Summer Reading Program planning. Storytimes will return in June. Thank you!

• School Days at 2:00PM Teen Time: Coloring, puzzles, board games, or crafts while you hang out with your friends. Teen Area


• Mondays at 3:00PM Roleplayers Guild- Dungeons and Dragons Ages 12-18. Nevada Room.

• Friday, May 8 at 7:00PM: Movie in the Amphitheater- Zootopia 2 (PG): Join us for an outdoor showing of animated family movie. Bring chairs or blankets to get comfy. Food/snacks welcome. Drinks must be non-alcoholic. No glass containers, please! All Ages. Outdoor Amphitheater.


• Saturday, May 30 at 1:00PM: Summer Reading Kick Off: Join us for some roar-some fun to kick off our Summer Reading Program. Stop by to sign up, meet some awesome friends from Real Dinosaurs, and for fun activities! Community Room.


• Sunday, May 31 at 2:00PM: Singing in the Stacks- Library Karaoke: From Country to Christmas, Metal to Musicals, Rock to reggae, Opera to Oldies, join us and sing your favorite songs. No experience needed. Beginners are Welcome! No registration required. Ages 8+. Combined Community & Board Rooms.

• Easy Does It Yoga: Is paused for the month of May.


• Crochet Skills Class: Is paused for the month of May.


• Tuesdays at 2:30PM Crochet for A Cause: Board Room. *Not Meeting on 5/5- Will resume 5/12*


• Saturday, May 2 at 1:00PM: UV Resin Jewelry & Keychains: Come join us for UV resin to make jewelry or a keychain. Materials provided. Registration required. Space is limited. Community Room.


• Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30PM Dam Book Club: Come share your thoughts, favorite quotes, and questions about “The Adventures of Mary Darling” by Pat Murphy! The author will be in attendance! Whether you’ve finished the book or just started, everyone is welcome. To obtain a copy, please see Jessie. Ages 18+. Meet at Cornish Pasty Co. 1300 Arizona Street.


• Monday, May 11 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: Learn from others as you research your family history. Board room.


• Tuesdays, 5/12 & 5/26 at 10:00AM: Cut-Ups Quilting: Community Room.


• Thursday, May 14 at 11:30AM: Becca's Book Club. Ages 18+. Community Room


• Saturday, May 16 at 2:00PM: How Not To Burn Toast- Eat Your Veggies:We'll be digging up some vegetarian recipes. Ages 16+. Community room.


• Sunday, May 17 at 2:00PM: Fiber Arts Club: Learn from others and work on your projects with friends. Ages 16+. Community Room.


• Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00PM: Come Write In- Creative Writing: Creative writing prompts and activities to generate new writing. All skill levels welcome. Community Room.

• Tech Teacher APPOINTMENTS are available! To sign up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or call the library at 702-293-1281. Exclusions FOR TECH TEACHER INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Device repairs, device set-up, same day appointments, over the phone appointments, and/or multiple same week appointments. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays 3:00PM and 4:00PM and Thursdays 1:00PM and 2:00PM.

Makerspace Programs

• Weekly Makerspace Times: Space is LIMITED, machines are first come, first serve.


• Tuesdays 5:00PM to 7:00PM Open Maker Time: Must be certified on the machines you intend to use. Makerspace.


• Wednesdays 2:00PM to 4:00PM Open Maker Time: Must be certified on the machines you intend to use. Makerspace.
