Lighthouse Kitchen is Beacon for Good Food, Great Service

The Lighthouse Kitchen has been quietly open for business for about two months now, and despite the low key opening, customers and rave reviews have not been in short supply. On our recent visit to the restaurant, most of the tables were full of customers enjoying a variety of delicious entrees and drinks.

The menu is basically an All-American style menu. You’ll find everything from burgers and sandwiches to steaks to salads. The restaurant, open at 11:00AM, is serving up lunch and dinner options to customers Friday thru Tuesday. The restaurant is closed Wednesday and Thursday. The hours are 11:00AM to 8:00PM, Sunday thru Tuesday and 11:00AM to 9:00AM, Friday and Saturday.

Start your meal off with a selection of appetizers or choose the appetizer variety platter with mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms, chicken wings and onion rings. Or maybe start with an antipasto platter instead. For entrees, there are the aforementioned Angus burgers and sandwiches, as well as pasta dishes and meal salads. An 8oz New York strip steak served with two side dishes is just $19. Some of the popular dishes include the hot pastrami sandwich, the club sandwich, and the Cobb salad. There’s also a small kid’s menu for the younger ones.

We spoke to Kay McLaughlin, the restaurant’s general manager. She’s been in the food hospitality business for over thirty years and her passion is to create good food at reasonable prices with quality ingredients. She’s appreciated all the support from Boulder City customers so far and has met some kind and wonderful people. The restaurant has a small staff, for now, who greet each customer in a friendly manner.

Kay tells us the restaurant has plans to expand to breakfast in the future and they will eventually be serving beer and wine. The beverages at the restaurant are from the Coca-Cola line, plus tea and coffee. You can find the full menu for the restaurant on the hotel’s website HERE.

The restaurant is located at 110 Ville Drive, next to the Lake Mead Inn. To reach the parking lot for restaurant, turn left where the assisted living facility is and bear right around the back of the hotel to proceed to the parking lot. The telephone number is (702) 293-6444, ext 413. Again, the hours for the restaurant are 1:00AM to 8:00PM, Sunday thru Tuesday and 11:00AM to 9:00AM, Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is dark Wednesday and Thursday.
