The events on Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival were shocking for us all. We pray for the victims and their families for healing, and wish them peace and strength for the days ahead.
Amid so many sad stories have also risen tales of bravery, decency and displays of heroic acts by both our first responders and regular civilians.
A local Boulder City Police Explorer, 17 year old Bailey Thompson was on the scene – and many around him are thankful for it. He put his training from both the Explorer Unit as well as the military to good use.
The Boulder City Explorer Unit is a part of a nation-wide volunteer program for youths aged 14-21, who work closely with local police departments, and you can read more about them here.
