Measured Attendance at Upcoming City Council to be Allowed

Measured Attendance City Council Boulder City, NV

The City of Boulder City will slowly open up to allow 15 attendees at the next June 23 City Council meeting, but you must RSVP and you will need to make a reservation in advance. In order to come you’ll need to reserve a spot by contacting the City Clerk’s office at 702-293-9208. Preference will be given to those who have issues on the agenda in front of the Council that night.

The limit is because of the social distancing required in the room, which was fine under normal circumstances, but now is limited in size when you add the space required between visitors.

Visitors will be required to answer the COVID-19 Self-Check Screening Questions and have their temperature taken. They are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and may only use designated areas (Council Chambers and the restrooms). “Unfortunately, Clark County has experienced hundreds of new COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks, so I ask that those who attend please be respectful and honor social distancing,” Mayor McManus said. “Staff has spaced seats six feet apart. While we are happy to welcome residents back, we also will continue to provide a live stream as well as options for public comment as we have in recent months.”

One can definitely support the idea that those with business before the Council that night should be given preference. But for those who miss seeing the meetings live, here’s your chance!
