Members of Boulder City High Rodeo Team to Compete at Southpoint

OK, we're going to be honest and just say we just wanted to give these kids some love!  Would you look at the size now of the Boulder City High School Rodeo Team! My, how they've grown....

This weekend a portion of the team will be competing in the Nevada High School Rodeo competition at the South Point Casino Arena. We think that's awesome because these youths from all over the area are getting the show their stuff where the pros normally do! How fun is that!

The competition is this weekend, and the start times are:

• Saturday - 9am

• Sunday - 8am

The team is headed out to either compete or support their team-mates, so you'll certainly see a presence, and we know they'd love to have a Boulder City contingent on hand - so if you don't have plans maybe wander over that way to check it out.

There are 30 members on the team currently, when they started last year 2021-22 they had about 20 kids, growing steadily over the years. They try to compete as often as they can, but this is one of the last of the season in Nevada.

Connor O’Shaughnessy Team President who has been competing for two years, and he along with a few others will be showing their stuff. He told us, "It's a really big deal to be at that venue because it’s significantly larger and is where the pros often compete." Good luck to all!
