We are very pleased to introduce you to Miss Emily Cox, the reigning Miss Teen Nevada Earth! Emily is a sixteen-old-junior at Boulder City High School. where she is also a varsity cheerleader. She as previously cheered for 6.5 years prior to joining the Eagles.
Emily began competing in pageants when she was younger and the idea of using her platform to address environmental issues was an appealing one. Her platform is Informing the younger generations on the importance of environmental conservation. She has conducted at least two trash cleanups along Lake Mead, where over 1000 pounds of refuse was collected and properly disposed of by Park Rangers. She’s even lost a couple shoes due to the muddy shores down there!! One often doesn’t think of pageant beauties working hard in dirty, yucky conditions, but Emily doesn’t care! She knows what her goals are and works toward them, mud or no mud.
She is an active member in the group. Beauties for a Cause. They raise awareness and funding for various conservation projects. She is currently raising $300 in order to attend the Wildlife Conservation Gala in Florida. Her next National Pageant will be January 3 thru the 9 in Orlando
Emily also gives back to her community through training younger, up and coming cheerleaders. as part of her fundraising efforts, she is holding a cheer mini camp on December 18-19 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM for just $30. Check out the cool flyer below. You can RSVP HERE.
