This Saturday (June 14th, 2014) is the second “Movie in the Park” of the summer and the feature film will be Monsters University — another FREE family friendly flick showing at 7:30pm in Bicentennial Park.
There will be two additions to this Chamber of Commerce event…the Rotary Grill will be open at 7pm and the Rotary Club of Boulder City will be grilling up hot dogs and selling them with chips and a drink – so the kids can have a hot dog dinner.
And for the grown-ups, the first “Wine Walk” through the historic district will be taking place prior to the movie…here is how it works:
Participants will start at the Chamber office (front patio) and purchase a wine glass, map of participating businesses, and have their hand stamped (after being carded for the approval to drink alcohol).
So far, 25 businesses are signed-up to host participants (# subject to change) with a station at each business to pour wine, serve snacks and rinse glasses. The fee for the glass is just $25 for one/$45 per couple and is good at all 25 locations.
The map has a grid/checklist on the back for each merchant to sign off that the participant has stopped by. After all of the boxes are filled in, participants can come to the movie to deposit the completed grid in a special drawing box. Just before the movie starts, a winner will be drawn for a beautiful wine gift basket!
So there you have it…a movie with dinner and wine on Saturday night…now you just need a date!
