Feels like it’s going to start pouring like a mad-man in Boulder City any minute now, right? And it’s August!
If you occasionally ponder why so much rain can fall during the hottest time of the year, and why our thunder and lightening storms become so intense during the summer months of July and August…you can fill your Saturday afternoon (August 23rd, 2014) over at the Lake Mead National Recreation Center at 2pm for a summer weather program with Ranger Terry (and see some amazing pictures of the storms we misname Monsoons). Sounds to me like a GREAT last Saturday outing of summer for the kids!
No reservations are necessary. For more information, please call the visitor center at 702-293-8990 from 9am – 4:30pm. They’re located at 10 Lakeshore Road if you plan on stopping by!
