Okay – so this looks like a really fun thing to do and someone will win a trip for two to Napa with airfare, hotel, car rental and tasting arrangements!
Milo’s Cellar is holding a wine tasting contest (and you can enter it until September 30th) under the direction of their Master Sommelier, Cameron Sisk.
I asked Milo’s to send me over a copy of the contest rules, which I’ve posted below for you — but the quick & dirty rundown on how this contest works is this:
- You go in and tell your server that you want a Wild Blind Tasting (it’s $15 for three wines, most of which are 3 oz. each).
- You answer questions about each wine on your “tasting sheet”…then every week for 12 weeks (July 1 – Sept. 30), Master Sommelier Sisk will judge and select 2 winners who will be invited to come in and pick a card for weekly prizes.
- Then, all 24 winners will be invited in for Milo’s Grand Blind Tasting Drawing (date tba) and a winner will be drawn. THAT person wins a weekend trip to Napa for two, including air fare, hotel, car rental and tasting arrangements.
So – if you are into wine and want to participate — just go into Milo’s Cellar (534 Nevada Way), order your Wild Blind Tasting and tell them what your palette speaks to you! The contest rules are below!
p.s. – on a separate note – there is another wine-related event called ‘Perfect Pairing’ on the “This Week in Boulder City” calendar of things to do…so if wine and art are your things — you can check that out by clicking here!
