National Night Out is celebrating its 40th celebration and Boulder City first responders will be joining the community in showcasing the event on Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. The event, which is highlighted by a softball game between Boulder City’s Police and Fire Departments, will take place at Veterans Memorial Park (1900 Buchanan Boulevard).
In addition to the softball game, there will be a zipline, activities for children, a raffle, food, and prizes. Several local agencies will be represented, including Boulder City Police Department, Boulder City Fire Department, National Park Service, Nevada Division of Wildlife, Nevada Highway Patrol, Clark County School District Police and more! Visitors can tour a Mercy Air helicopter and observe K-9 Police demonstrations. The raffle benefits the BCPD K-9 and Mounted Units as well as the Boulder City Animal Shelter.
This year’s sponsors include Quantum Printing, Albertsons, Barbara Agostini and Boulder City High School Student Council, Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Dam Credit Union, DJ Mike Pacini, Mercy Air, Ruben’s Wood Craft and Toys, Southwest Diner, and VFW Post 36 Honor Guard.
