You may remember we told you back in August that Boulder City wisely decided to participate in the option to move the classic National Night Out date to a cooler time frame, to October instead of the scorching temps in August.
So…now we’ve got the scoop on this year’s event, to be held out at Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 1st from 6pm – 9pm. It’s apparently grown to be one of the largest N.N.O. events in the state!
Kids can complete on an obstacle course, play in bounce houses and climb around in all kinds of cool equipment that they will have on hand, including a helicopter, weather permitting.
The highlight is the softball game between two teams: Boulder City High School (BCHS) Alumni against the dedicated forces of Boulder City Police and Fire Departments.
They will have K-9 and Mounted Police demonstrations, and personnel from local, state and federal agencies, including the Boulder City Police Department and Fire Department, National Park Service, Nevada Highway Patrol, School District Police, and others.
It will certainly be nice to have cooler weather to enjoy this event, and we’ll hope to see a great turnout!
