We know it’s that time of year where we look forward to any sort of celebration and today’s a great day to cool off with a root beer float! Root beer poured over a scoop of creamy root beer is just about the perfect treat for a warm summer day! We’ve been craving one for a while now and today we’re gonna indulge. We did a little research on the “Black Cow” (as it was originally named) and found out it was originally created in August 1893 by a miner by the name of Frank J Wisner of Cripple Creek, CO. You can learn more about Wisner HERE while you enjoy his creation.
Of course, you can always visit one of our favorite places – A&W Root Beer!! Stop in anytime between now and 9:00PM to purchase a root beer float to celebrate National Root Beer Float Day! Our A&W Restaurant is the only free standing restaurant in the entire state! Enjoy your treat and be sure to take some root beer home for later!! The restaurant is located at 1410 Boulder City Parkway and is open daily from 9:00AM to 8:00PM, Monday thru Wednesday and 9:00AM to 9:00PM Thursday thru Sunday.
