The Boulder City Police Department Volunteer Program has invited the community to a meeting to discuss the forming of a Neighborhood Watch program in Boulder City.
The meeting will be at 7pm at the Elaine K Smith Center, located at 700 Wyoming St.
According to the Boulder City Police Department, Neighborhood Watch is a national program designed to help reduce crime and improve quality of life in neighborhoods by forming partnerships between the community and police officers.
The BCPD recently hired a Retired Police Officer, Patrick Richardson, on a part-time basis to help spearhead several volunteer programs within Boulder City. The Neighborhood Watch is one such program they are working on.
Richardson also says they have hired 18 other new volunteers and they are looking for others as well. Interested folks should contact the web site HERE.
