Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program

Nevada PrePaid Tuition Boulder City, NV

Did you know, that you can save money by locking in the costs of in-state tuition for your child’s higher education? That’s right, you lock in lower rates now on tuition costs to be used in the future when your child graduates and is ready for the next level in their education/training process!

You can learn more and enroll on the State’s web site HERE. More details from the press release are here below:

Prepaid Tuition contracts can be used to pay for tuition at Nevada System of Higher Education institutions or transferred to pay for tuition at eligible public or private colleges and universities across the country (at an amount up to Nevada’s in-state tuition). Nevada’s program offers a variety of plans from community college to university. Payment options are flexible to meet the needs of Nevada’s families, with rates as low as $39 per month.

Prepaid Tuition contracts also provide flexibility in the event that a student’s college plans change, allowing for a contract to be used up to six years after high school graduation, transferred to a family member (up to first-cousins), applied towards graduate school, and even refunded in certain circumstances.  Payments can be made in a lump sum, monthly installments over a five or 10 year period, or even on an extended payment schedule aligned with a student’s high school graduation year. Once a contract is purchased, payments remain the same regardless of future increases to in-state college tuition.

The deadline to enroll this year, is March 31, 2020. You can apply online at the link above, or call them for more info at 888-477-2667.

Big thanks to City Communications Manager, Lisa LaPlante for forwarding this info to us! We think it’s a great tool to help families deal with the ever increasing costs of higher education.
