Nevada Way Reconstruction Project Begins

The project to rebuild and repave a section of Nevada Way, between Wyoming Street and Colorado Street, got underway today with a goal to finish by September, before the fall community events begin. In addition to the repaving work, the scope of the project includes Americans with Disabilities (ADA) improvements, pouring new sidewalk, re-configuring the parking stalls on both sides of the street, replacing water services, and working on the water main in the area.

PLEASE remember that all of your favorite local businesses along this stretch of Nevada Way remain OPEN FOR BUSINESS during this construction project. You can still visit Ace Hardware, Grandma Daisy's, Jack's Place, the Skinny Bar and all of your other downtown merchants just like any other day.

Work hours for the project will be 10:00PM to 6:00AM, Sunday night through Friday morning. The speed limit in the construction zone will be 15MPH so drivers are encouraged to pay attention to signs and temporary traffic controls in the construction area.

During the project, parking in the area may be impacted and the affected areas are shown on the map below. For more information about the project, you can visit the City's website HERE for details.
