We are SOOOO excited to share with you, that indeed, Tom and Amy Carvalho, the current 7-Eleven franchise owners of the Nevada Way location will transition and take over the new location opening this March on the corner of Boulder City Parkway and Buchanan Boulevard!
Tom tells us there is still a whole lotta work to do – getting permits, inspections and of course finishing the insides, which we have some previews of for you above. Now note, this is still a construction zone, so take that into consideration. (They tell me we were the very first ‘civilians’ to see the inside!)
They are super excited to have this totally new, fresh and much larger location to take over. They will offer diesel as well as regular gas, propane exchange and of course a wide variety of convenience items including alcohol and tobacco, drinks, food and a bunch of fancy new-fangled machines to share it with all of us.
Amy says the logistics are something they are still working on. It’s going to be a lot to switch the stock over, staff and as you can image all of the other moving parts that normally go into opening or closing any location or business like this. But they say that they will work hard to have as little ‘down-time’ as possible between the two stores.
What about the current Nevada Way location you may ask? That will remain and unknown for a while. But what we do know is that the existing location – the building and land is owned by the 7-Eleven corporation itself, so one hopes, and maybe can even assume that they won’t be crazy about that location falling into the hands of a competitor. But, time will tell as we say.
So…watch for the good word on this come March, and you can count on us to keep you posted! Congrats to Tom and Amy and their whole staff!
