Boulder City’s Airport has been without a dedicated Airport Manager since December of last year, when then Jennifer Lopez moved on to a new position in Clark County, and now that open position is being filled by a new hire – Frederick ‘Willy’ Williamson.
He comes to Boulder City having been the manager for Vancouver, Washington’s Person Field Airport. There, he was manager from 2008 to 2018, and had also previously been the manager for Falmouth Airport in Massachusetts from 2002 to 2008.
“Boulder City Airport is such an important part of this historic community, and I look forward to what we can achieve here,” said Williamson. “I’m planning to work with staff and our stakeholders as we tackle several challenges in the coming months. I’m ready to hit the ground running.”
The City says they conducted an extensive national search before finding Williamson. Our airport is an important part of our local tourism economy, with some 200,000 tourists visiting the airport and it’s vendors just last year. So it’s a busy job and we’re glad to welcome him to town and wish him well!
