New Bike-Themed Lockup Stands

Here’s a look at the bike-themed lock-up stands recently installed by the Public Works Dept. along Nevada Way and at some downtown venues (I took this particular photo at Bicentennial Park). And just for fun, you can CLICK HERE for a map of Boulder City’s bike pathways.

A note to drivers (that was recently included in the utility mailer and I think is worthy of amplifying): State law requires that motor vehicle drivers give bicyclists 3 feet of clearance when overtaking them. Additionally, if there is more than one lane for traffic moving in the same direction, drivers must move entirely into the lane to the immediate left (which is the same rule that applies to passing a police vehicle that has pulled someone over). Happy trails!
