There’s a new business locally to share with you – meet Ryan Borup of Blazin’ Paddles that recently relocated their business from Henderson, and now are housed in Boulder City at the Hoover Dam Lodge!
This kayak tour company has been around for four years, and they’re super happy to come out this way as a base for their operations. In on the act of this small family run business are mom Heather Borup, and their two mascots, Guinness the bulldog and Honey the Golden Retriever. Not pictured is also someone you may talk to on the phone, Dani Larget who does permanent makeup we told you about HERE.
Not only do they pick tourists up from the Las Vegas strip, they worked out a deal with the Hoover Dam Lodge so that folks can get a good rate and come out this way to dine, shop and sleep out here instead.
Ryan is justifiably proud of their stats, hosting some 7,000 guests this year, making them the largest local outfitter in our area. The spot inside the Lodge also boasts a retail store that they say is getting a lot of traffic.
They have plans to expand later next year into hiking and biking tours, in addition to their river adventures. Swing by and say ‘hello’ the next time you’re down by the lake!
