New Business Casa Don Quixote Open Now for Lunch
We've waited quite a while before bringing the story of Casa Don Quixote out to you all - largely because of their 'soft opening' status that went on for quite some time. But now they are fully open for both lunch and dinner and no longer require reservations for the evening service, however they still recommend it for lunch, given their limited seating.
If you haven't been - you're missing out! Located in the former Evan's location at 1129 Arizona Street, they have indoor and outdoor dining available that features all of the wonderful food traditions of Spain. Owner, Eligii Gomez-Morais and his wife Grace create the magic of Spanish home cooking served family style for sharing, and specialize in Tapas. If you're unfamiliar, this typical Spanish cuisine is famous for small plates of food ordered and best shared. Tapas can be just an appetizer or snack, are hot or cold, and ordered in combination to create a meal. Traditionally served with drinks, namely an appertiff or wine, what started in Spain has spread world-wide, and is one of the best ways to enjoy a meal!
Eligii was born in Spain, but when orphaned at fifteen he moved to Switzerland with extended family. Now, having made his way stateside and living in Las Vegas, he speaks seven languages and has many years in the restaurant industry working a variety of different jobs. But he kept the flame of Spain burning in his heart.
He and Grace went looking for a spot to establish their own restaurant, and as we often hear the similar story - they wandered out to Boulder City and fell in love. The owners of the building, Grant Turner and Bret Runion, were looking for a new tenant, and they all jumped in at once.
it's been a bit of a haul, but the wait has been worth it. Reviews of the food have been ravenous, and the delicious variety of fare served has something to please almost everyone. The wines are also scrumptious, the desserts to die for, and for the rest, you're simply going to have to experience it for yourself.
Limited seating is available and days and hours may vary. They encourage you to text or call at 702-661-2929 or PM on their Facebook Page your name and contact details to reserve a table.
