There’s a new business that recently started up in town – please meet Natalie Betts of Natalie B. Photography!
Natalie just recently hung out her shingle on her own full-time gig, and you can see her work on her Facebook and Instagram pages. But she has made this leap this past year, coming over from a very different background.
Prior to this, Natalie has spent her past 20 years on and off in the medical and Public Health fields. I asked her how she thought about what that work would have been like during the pandemic, as no doubt it would have been very challenging! She says she thinks of her former colleagues, but is grateful for the chance to follow her dream. She says that really, what she loved most from that career was connecting with and helping people, and that now she applies that same love, but in a new way – it’s all about storytelling.
She says her Uncle inspired her as he was a professional photographer. Last year she started taking photography classes and upgrading her equipment. Then she started to get some work, and then slowly expanded that effort until she was ready to go full time earlier this year!
She specializes in portraits for families and individuals, including both school aged children, and also professional or corporate head shots. She lives locally in Boulder City after being in Henderson for several years.
