When Wouter and Debbie Vanvinckenroye arrived from the rural, agricultural town of Borgloon, Belgium just over four months ago, they knew that their dream of owning and operating their own business would be possible. The business climate in Belgium is such that becoming an entrepreneur is more difficult than it is here in the United States. The chance to relocate and start over, was too much to resist. They chose Boulder City because they’d made several trips to the United States, specifically Las Vegas, over the last seven years and frequently visited the Boulder City area. They love the lake, the mountains, and the desert. The small town atmosphere appealed to them as well, as it mirrored their previous home in Belgium.
Wouter has been an industrial welder for more than fifteen years. In Belgium, he worked for EVAPCO, an American manufacturing company with international locations. Through this extensive experience, he knew he had the skill to operate his own company here and that’s how Allround Welding was born. As new Boulder City residents, this is their first business venture. The chance to be their own bosses was irresistible and they quickly set up shop. Allround Welding was born.
They perform a variety of welding activities. They do gates, fences, outdoor kitchens, boat trailer repair, dining room tables, commercial and residential, and fabrication projects. They even do Volkswagen buses! When you go into their office, you can see some of their handiwork immediately displayed in the form of a Volkswagen counter. It’s an interesting conversation piece, that’s for sure. Basically, if it needs welding, they can do it!
The Vanvinckenroyes have two sons enrolled in local schools, Bram and Emiel. The boys are 12 and 10 years old. They are enjoying getting to know their new home and meeting new friends. The family enjoys soccer, hiking and lots of outdoor activities.
